Dental care for all students
Between 19-28 years old?
Tannhelse Rogaland offers a 75% discount on treatment for those turning 19-28 years old in the treatment year. This applies to all public dental clinics in Rogaland – including at Ullandhaug Dental Clinic in SiS student housing.
Older than 28 years?
SiS collaborates with Ullandhaug Dental Clinic, which has an office on the 3rd floor of the SiS student housing at the UiS campus. Here you get a 50% discount through SiS' dental support. This also applies to all other dental clinics under Tannhelse Rogaland.
The discount applies to students at UiS, VID Stavanger, BI Stavanger, the Art School in Stavanger, Noroff Vocational School, HLT Stavanger, Fagskolen Rogaland, and NLA Stavanger.
Application requirements
The scheme only applies to the dental offices that SiS has agreements with at any given time, during their opening hours.
Remember to inform them that you are a student when booking. You must bring your student ID when you go for treatment.
SiS does not cover costs for cosmetic treatment.
If all or part of the treatment cost is covered by Helfo, insurance, NAV, county, municipality, or others, the support from SiS is void. This applies, for example, to the removal of wisdom teeth and other surgical procedures.
For treatment up to February 1st, you must bring a receipt for the paid semester fee for the autumn semester. For treatment after February 1st, you must bring a receipt for the paid semester fee for the spring semester.
The academic year runs from August 15th to July 1st. To receive support for treatment during the summer break, you must have paid the semester fee for spring and be able to show confirmation of study rights for the autumn semester.
You do not need to submit an application for support, everything is handled at the dentist. You pay 50 percent of the bill, and that's all you need to think about!
If you are aged 19 - 28 in the treatment year, you can also use public dental clinics and only pay 25% of the rate set by the Ministry of Health and Care Services. (Note that this has nothing to do with SiS' offer – this is a scheme from the public healthcare system).
